It’s ever so quick and easy to get the hang of things! Build your own deck of Whovian favourites, outsmart your opponent to win World Clashes and who knows, maybe you’ll succeed in your quest for cosmic glory!
Now, let’s get going…
The TARDIS is off on a journey through time and space! It makes its way along the central Timeline, rematerialising in a new spot for each of the game’s six turns.
You begin with a customisable deck of 12 cards and three active cards in your hand. Draw another card at the start of every turn. But beware! There's a seven-card limit so if an eighth is added to your hand, it's automatically discarded!
The player with the most overall Power at the end of the game is the winner! Be sure to keep your eye on the Power totals at the right of the gameboard…
It’s going to cost you Artron energy to play cards to the board. Both players receive +1 Artron each turn, so as the game goes on you can play more cards or higher-cost cards. Track your Artron total at the bottom of the gameboard.
Cards display the Artron cost top left and the Power value underneath. Tap or click on a card to see its ability ─ and any buffs or debuffs that it may have picked up along the way.
You’ll play at the same time as your opponent. Choose to play one or more cards each turn IF you can afford their Artron cost! Place your cards in any empty hexagon on your side of the board.
As the TARDIS moves each turn, the Present is highlighted in blue. To the right of the TARDIS is the Future; to its left is the Past. Some cards are affected by being in the Past, Present or Future, so think about their abilities and choose where you want to play your cards carefully!
There’s no need to hang about! Press the End Turn button when you’ve finished placing cards.
After both players have ended their turn, cards are revealed in the order they were played. The cards of the player with more overall Power go first. Card abilities activate as they are revealed, so be smart and place cards in the order you want the effects to be activated!
When picking 12 cards for your deck, you’ll also need to choose a World - and at the start of the game both Players’ Worlds are played to the timeline along with two other randomised Worlds. As always, tap or click on them to see their abilities.
When the TARDIS rematerialises on a World, it becomes part of the Present, its ability is activated, and a World Clash takes place. How exciting! Power from all cards in the Present is totalled up for each player, and whoever has more wins the World and wields its Power.
After six rounds, it’s time for all card and World abilities to be resolved one last time, so the overall Power scores can get a final update…
