INTRODUCTION
Ah, so you’ve stumbled upon Doctor Who: Worlds Apart, eh? Brilliant! Think of it as a wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey, action-packed card duel that whisks you away in the TARDIS through all of time and space!
You’ll encounter friends, foes, and fascinating objects from across the Whoniverse as you strategise your way to cosmic glory.
Getting started? Oh, it’s a cinch, an absolute doddle! But let me warn you, once you’re caught in this whirlpool of excitement, stopping might just be the hard part! Time flies when you’re having fun, you see! So, fancy a game?
THE GAMEBOARD
The game unfolds as the TARDIS makes its journey through time and space. It progresses along the central Timeline, rematerialising at a new location for each of the game’s six turns.

YOUR HAND
Both players have a customisable deck of 12 cards. You’ll start with three active cards in your hand, and you’ll draw another card at the start of every turn, up to a seven-card limit. If a card is added when you already hold seven cards, it’s automatically discarded.
POWER
The winner is the player who has the most overall Power at the end of the game. Both player’s total Power is shown on the right side of the gameboard.

ARTRON
Playing cards to the board costs Artron energy. Both players receive +1 Artron each turn, so as the game progresses you can play more cards or higher cost cards. Your Artron total is displayed at the bottom of the gameboard.
YOUR CARDS
Cards display the Artron cost top left and the Power value underneath. Tap/click on a card to see its Ability description, and any buffs or de-buffs that it might have received.

TAKING A TURN
Players take their turns at the same time, and you can play one or more cards each turn, provided you can afford their Artron cost. Cards can be placed in any empty hexagon on your side of the board.
THE PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE
As the TARDIS moves through each turn, the Present is highlighted in blue. To the right of the TARDIS is the Future; to its left is the Past. Some cards are affected by being in the Past, Present or Future, so consider the Abilities of each card when choosing where to place them.

ENDING A TURN
Press the End Turn button when you have finished placing cards.
REVEALING THE CARDS
Once both players have ended their turn, cards are revealed in the order they were played. The cards of the player with more overall Power are revealed first. Card Abilities activate as they are revealed, so always place cards in the order you want the effects to be activated.

WORLD CARDS
In addition to the 12 cards in your deck, you will also choose a World, and at the start of the game both player’s Worlds are played to the timeline along with two other randomised Worlds. Tap/click on them to see their Abilities.
WORLD CLASHES
When the TARDIS rematerialises on a World, it becomes part of the Present, its Ability is activated, and a World Clash takes place. Power from all cards in the Present is totalled up for each player, and whoever has more wins the World and its Power.

END OF THE GAME
The game ends when all six rounds have been completed. At this point, all card and World Abilities are resolved for the last time and the overall Power scores are updated to reveal the winner of the game!
